Densmore Oil Company provides Bioheat® fuel containing ultra-low sulfur heating oil (ULSHO) with a maximum 15ppm sulfur content. We’re proud to offer Bioheat Plus® fuel blended with ULSHO to our customers in Southeastern Connecticut and Southwestern Rhode Island because of its many environmental and money-saving benefits, including:
- Lower-carbon fuel use at your property
- Lower carbon emissions
- Lower sulfur content reduces sooting and scaling, which prolongs the heating system lifespan and causes no problem to your oil heating equipment or tanks
- Increased heating system efficiency, helping you save more annually on fuel usage
- ULSHO produces fewer emissions compared to heating oil with higher sulfur content, which will help to reduce sulfur dioxide by 2% because we blend ULSHO with biodiesel. This means you can add an additional 5–10% to these numbers!
When ULSHO is blended with a minimum of 2% biodiesel, it has a lower greenhouse gas emission than natural gas. Densmore strives to go above and beyond by blending 20% biodiesel into our ULSHO, creating B20 Bioheat Plus® fuel for you.
